CAN YOU USE THE INSECT SCREEN CURTAINS FOR FRENCH DOORS AND SLIDERS? - Yes, you can. Just use it for one opening of your French door.The screen curtain attaches to the top of your door frame or you can mount in to the wall above the door frame, either on the inside or on the outside of your house. As long as your opening is not wider than 37 inches and no longer than 86 inches, one curtain kit will fit. If you need to screen the entire french door opening, we also sell the double-wide mounting strim strip measuring 78 1/2 inches. With this you may use two screen curtain kits. The strips can be easily cut to fit smaller sizes as well. Just make the panels overlap a little bit more. Back to top

WE HAVE A SLIDING GLASS DOOR, WITH ONE STATIONARY SIDE. DO I NEED TO ORDER THE WIDER ONE OR NOT? - Some customers choose to cover only one side of the slider. This is possible and a matter of preference. Back to top

CAN WE RETURN OUR SCREEN CURTAIN?

You can ONLY return your curtain in case of a MANUFACTURER's DEFECT and if the curtain has not been altered in any way (please read our terms of sale before you decide to order!) Measure your door carefully before ordering and check if you can actually mount the curtain to your door and if the surface that you want to mount the brackets or clips to is flat. Call or e-mail us with questions before you order. WE DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS IF THE CURTAIN IS NOT DEFECTED. See Terms.

ARE THESE CURTAINS A PERMANENT FIXTURE? - No. You can remove the Insect Screen Curtain whenever you desire. The curtain can be removed easily just by pressing against the bottom of the attachment strip, near the brackets. NOTE: Store the mesh panels carefully so you can enjoy your curtains again next year, without any wrinkles. Take the weights off your screen curtain and roll the panels up carefully. Back to top

ARE THE WEIGHTS MAGNETIC? - No. Magnetic weights would prevent the curtain from moving freely when you walk through. They are meant to keep the panels in place but be aware that a flexible screen will always move somewhat. It is designed to give you hands free access so you can move trough it easily. Back to top

IF I DO NOT WANT TO CUT THE PANELS CAN I JUST FOLD IT AND T EHM PUT ON THE WEIGHTS?No. Just cut the panels and "sandwich" them between the two parts of the weights. If the mesh is folded there will be some space between the two sides of the weights and the retainers will slowly loose their shape and no longer hold the weights in place. Back to top

CAN YOU USE THE CURTAINS FOR WINDOWS AS WELL? - Not a good idea and not much use either because the screens are meant to walk through. Back to top

HOW DO I CLEAN MY SCREEN CURTAIN? - Simply by using luke warm water and soap. Back to top

WILL MY PET BE AFRAID TO WLAK THROUGH? - Pets like flexible screens. They quickly learn that they can walk through it by pushing the panels with their nose and they won't forget! They do not need to scratch the screen door anymore because this one opens by itself when they push it. They will love you fot it! Back to top

IS IT HARD TO INSTALL THE SCREEN CURTAIN? - No.

measure your door frame and mount the brackets

put the panels on the floor alongside the rod and straighten them (we use the box to make this easier)

cut the panels to the length that you need and pout on the weights and secure them with the little retainers

Make the panels overlap about 2 inches (start from the outside and it is easier if you use the small stickers to make the panels stick to the floor during this process)

remove the protective sticker from the glue strip on the rod

wrap the top of the panels around the rod

press the rod into the attachment strip

press the strip into the brackets and...you're done!

NOTE: if you notice that not all the panels are nice and straight, just take the curtain down and carefully remove the rod from the strip using a screwdriver, remove the panels from the glue strip and try again. Back to top
